The Red Ochre is VDAAD's take on the classic Arbiter Rangemaster treble boost circuit, named for the beach nearby the workshop on the Tasman Peninsula. It's got a lot of go: crank it right up and it veers into fuzz territory. You get a volume/boost control, and filter control, that winds in more low-mids as you turn it to the right, kinda like a reverse tone knob. This loves to be in front of an edge-of-breakup amp, adding touch sensitivity, warmth and aplomb to every note and chord, balancing sparkling articulation with hefty round punch. Hell. Yeah.

Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors is the project of local tonehound Richard Turner, based out a small studio in Dodges Ferry, near Hobart, Australia. Richard uses NOS and recycled specialist components to create deluxe fuzz, boost and treble boost pedals. Each pedal is point-to-point hand wired on hand-cut phenolic boards, using transistors from 1950-70s and capacitors and resistors from 1960-99. The enclosures are hand-finished, and sent in plastic-free packaging.
