Weird name, great tones. Cranetortoise is a niche brand sold largely within Japan, doing simple but really well executed pedals. This is a booster, but with a couple of handy features. First, the 'edge' control gives you a bit of extra presence if you need your solos to cut through. The 'master' control gives you an extra gain stage, with an extra switch too, so you can have two different levels of boost. Aside from the functionality, it just sounds really natural... makes it better.
