(ARCHIVE) Epiphone Sheraton II Natural 1991

Epiphone Sheraton, gloss natural, made in Korea 1991. This is classy, I enjoy it. The Sheraton is among Epiphone's highest end offerings, so you get the fetch 7-ply binding, fancy inlays, gold hardware and the cool tree on the headstock. This example was made in Korea, and the woodwork, frets and finish are all really nicely done. It feels great in the hands: slim comfy neck, plenty of resonance and a certain integrity. The natural finish is nicely understated, which contrasts nicely with all the bling; it looks very swish. The tone is articulate, balanced and musical, with a strong fundamental note and a percussive attack. This is a really lovely semi-hollow, and with three decades of songs already on the clock, it's got a lot more personality than a brand new example. Slick stuff.
