Epiphone Tom Delonge sig, olive green with a racing stripe, made in China 2009. Well, dammit, you don't see these around much in these parts! If you grew up in the late nineties or slightly later (what's my age again?) then you could hardly escape pop-punk behemoths Blink 182, they were absolutely everywhere and are surely the quintessential band of the genre. Tom can be... interesting, but both his signature Fender Strat and this Epi model are absolutely superb pieces of guitar design. The receipt here: take a classic Gibson ES-335, remove the neck pickup, simplify the wiring down to a volume knob and a jack, finish the mahogany headstock and neck in clear satin and stick a big ol' racing stripe down the middle... could any object sum up the mid 2000s aesthetic any better? There's a reason these are selling for insane cash (this one is cheap, check for yourself!)... it sounds and plays brilliantly. The Dirty Fingers is one of the best Gibson pickup models ever, it's hot and crunchy like a Duncan JB but with a wilder midrange, perfect for nasty palm-muted power chords but articulate and nuanced enough to clean up convincingly too. The neck is a moderate '59 style shape, it's a comfy shape and the satin finish feels super slick. The simple hardware takes a bit of weight out too, so this is similar in weight to a run-of-the-mill Strat. The green and cream finish is a lot of fun, it'll surely irritate the purists but it'd make a great stage guitar. So hey, make it yours, before it gets abducted by aliens (that are definitely real, right Tom?)

Model: Epiphone 335 Dot
Made: China, 2009 (serial 09101501102)
Finish: olive green, satin poly

Neck: mahogany, rosewood board, 12" radius, 24.75" scale
Weight: 3.495kg
Mods: none
Pickup: Gibson Dirty Fingers humbucker

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. The headstock has a little scuff on the end. The neck has a hairline crack in the lacquer only near the nut, it's definitely not through to the wood, as well as some light scuffs. The back has widespread light scuffs, no major marks. The sides have light scuffs around the whole body, no major marks. The front has a little smudge halfway between the tailpiece and back edge, some dimples around the outside especially in the elbow area and some light scuffs from play on the horns. Worth noting the satin finish marks easily, so there's no major marks but many minor ones. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, intonation is good, action is low, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for fret life left. Setup with fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
