Fender Jag, crafted in Japan 1997-00, tuxedo B&W. Black isn't the first colour you think of when picturing a Jag, but it really does look so classy! It's a slick and smooth and ultra awesome, and being a non-catalog finish, it's quite rare on this era of Jag. These CIJ-era Jags are renowned for their high spec parts and precise manufacturing; this one is bang-on for build quality. It really feels great in the hands, it's supremely easy to get around on owing to a slim neck and signature 24" Jag short scale. The dual-circuit switching allows for a whole bunch of different tones; it's very satisfying to dial in a thick, jangly rhythm tone and switch easily to a plucky, searing lead. There's no guitar quite as comfy to play as a Jaguar!

Model: Fender Jaguar '66 reissue (JG66-85)
Made: Japan, 1997-00 (serial O050855)
Finish: gloss black, 3-ply white guard
Body: alder
Neck: maple with rosewood board, dot inlays
Mods: none
Neck & bridge pickup: Fender Japan JG single
Case: none

Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. There's a pair small extra hole drilled near the the bridge, not sure what that was for; possibly a cover of some sort. There's a couple of dings on the front up from the bridge pickup, and a handful of minor marks elsewhere. The back has a bit of rub-wear and there's some discolouration on the plastics and chrome. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. There's a little bit of fret wear, heaps of life left (7/10). All electrics tested and working fine. Setup with fresh 11/49 strings.
