Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass, dolphin grey, crafted in Japan 2006-8. These are one of Fender Japan's most iconic models, they've won a tonne of hearts over the last decade and a bit. The combo of a carved, bound top, matching headstock and metal top-hat knobs makes for a slick aesthetic. The neck is slim and fast and blessed with a gorgeous slab of midnight rosewood, and the satin finish on the neck has been well-played in, so it's feeling nice and smooth. Plugged in, you can get a punchy, quick -style tone or add in some of the bridge pickup for a more modern, slightly scooped version of a big juicy growl. There's a lot to love here, and these seldom last long on the wall, so you may as well see what the fuss is all about, right?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, just some dimples and glossing from play on the back. The back has some dimples on the bottom corner, elbow area and on the top horn and belly carve, as well as widespread minor scuffs. The sides have some minor dimples on the top horn and elbow area, some dimples and small dents on the bottom edge and some scuffs on the bottom horn. The front has a few dimples in the elbow area, around the bridge and near the jack as well as some play scratches on the guard and horns. Overall: good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets are in good shape, 8/10 for fret life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
