(SOLD) Fender Japan '57 Stratocaster ST57-75TX Candy Apple Red 1998
Fender Strat, candy apple red, crafted in Japan 1998-00. This one looks cool on the wall, no doubt about it. The candy apple red finish has plenty of marks to keep it honest, and paired with the golden maple board and vintage decals, it has a streetsmart 50s chic for sure. The neck is a fairly chunky 50s style D, with a bit of rub wear on the edges and the board and some lovely tight detail in the grain; it feels great in the hand. The tone on offer is a boisterous and energetic take on the classic Strat-spank, powered by a set of USA-made Texas Special pickups. There's plenty to like here, it'll Strat up your life just right.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and rub wear on the back and edges and some play wear on the board on the lower frets. The back has some chips on the bottom horn, around the cavity and along the back edge, as well as widespread scuffs and dimples around the whole body. The sides have dimples on the top horn, chips and some scuffs in the elbow area, and some chips, dents and scuffs from the jack area to the end of the bottom horn. The front has some chips in the elbow area and behind the bridge, as well as dimples and scuffs near the jack and some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: good condition (6.5/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. The frets have some normal wear including minor pitting, but they're pretty even with no major buzz issues, 6/10 for life left. Setup with fresh 10/46 strings.
