(SOLD) Fender Japan '62 Precision Bass PB62-53 Vintage White 1998
Fender '62 Precision, vintage white, crafted in Japan 1997-00. Classic creamy coolness. This has the hallmarks of an early 60s P: spaghetti decal, moderate 42mm nut on a comfy round neck, rosewood board, tort guard, simple hardware and electronics. It's not fancy, but you've got everything you really need on deck. The body is pretty light and rings generously with play, and the neck sits nicely in the hands and features a very pretty, dark choc piece of rosewood. The tone on offer is full and round, with a pleasing punch in the mids and a strong fundamental note. The white finish has yellowed and mellowed to a cream cheese hue, it's a warm look with a disarming charm. P= plump perfection.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some scuffs on the end and some dimples on the the top and bottom edges. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has a chip on the bottom horn, some dents and scuffs in the bottom corner and scuffs in the top horn and elbow area. The sides have dimples on both horns and the elbow area and some scuffs near the jack. The front has some scuffs around the bridge and dimples in the elbow area, plus some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets look good, minor wear only, 8/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
