(SOLD) Fender Japan '62 Stratocaster ST62-58US Sunburst 1998
Fender '62 Strat, sunburst, crafted in Japan 1997-00. At 3.1kg, this is the lightest Strat we've had through in a while. The light body pairs nicely with the always-agreeable '62 style slim, round vintage C neck... this thing is a very easy player. The USA pickups are bright and snappy, with plenty of sizzle in the top end and a nice plump bass. The classic burst finish is understated but not overrated, it looks charming... especially with the detailed maple grain on the headstock and neck and the lovely dark rosewood board. Stratify your life.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some minor dimples on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has a couple of dents in the elbow area, some dimples along the back edge, scuffs along the belly carve and some dimples near the neck plate and bottom horn. The sides have dimples on both horns, plus some scuffs and a few small chips in the elbow area and near the jack. The front has some small dents on the top horn, elbow area and near the jack, as well as scuffs along the back edge and some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: good condition (7/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. The frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for fret life left. Setup with fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
