(SOLD) Fender Japan '62 Telecaster TL62B Double Bound Trans Blue 2016
Fender '62 Tele, double bound trans blue, made in Japan 2016. These double bound Teles always looks terrific; this one is no exception. The trans blue finish is cool: it lets the grain of the alder peek through and pops just right against the dark rosewood board and cream binding. There's a heap of dings and marks around the body; this has obviously played a lot of tunes in it's short life. It's enthusiastic in the hands; the slim neck is superbly cooperative, the body is light and loud unplugged and the whole thing feels resonant and alive. The tone is a warm, understated take on the classic 'Tele twang'. There's heaps on snap and definition on the top end, but there's a rounded, warm low end to balance it out; it's a tasty tone that plays nicely with a variety of amps and pedals. These never last long, you if you've got the twitch, nab this twanger and get going!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some scuffs on the end and dimples on the bottom edge. Neck is clean and smooth in the hands, just a few dimples on the back. The back has widespread dimples and scuffs, no major marks but heaps of little ones. The sides have a few thing to note: scuffs and dents on the top horn, a proper patch of scratching/scuff/dents on the elbow area, dimples around the back edge, scuffs and little chips on the bottom edge. The front has some little chips on the elbow area, bottom horn and on the bottom edge down from the knobs, as well as widespread dimples around the body and play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (6.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. The frets are in great condition, 8/10 for fret life left. Setup with fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
