(SOLD) Fender Japan '70 Reissue Precision Bass PB70-70US Olympic White 2003
Fender '70 Precision, crafted in Japan 2002-4, olympic white. These CBS-style P Basses often attract plenty of attention owing to their bold styling; they're a very cool looking bass. They also come stock with a tasty alder body and a Fender USA pickup, offering a tight, defined and well balanced take on the classic P-thump. They compete very favourably in terms of tone and feel with all but the fanciest of USA models owing to their brilliant build quality and vintage specs. This one has had a colourful life that's included some stickers (since removed) leaving some fade marks and a slightly seasick mint guard; it's a cool look and fitting of a bass that's so perfect for playing punk. Also, the neck is a dream. It's got swagger, no?

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's a couple of little marks on the end of the headstock. Neck is pretty clean. The back has a handful of light dings near the plate, body and carve and bottom corner, as well as a sticker fade mark and the start of some checking lines. The sides are pretty good; just some scuffs in the shoulder area and near the rear strap pin and around from the jack.The front is pretty clean, just some normal play scratches on the guard and top horn, some minor sticker fade marks, a small finish chip on the bottom side of the 20th fret and some light marks around the jack and shoulder areas. Overall: good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets look exceptional, very little wear; 9/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105s.
