Fender Jaguar, crafted in Japan 1997-00, candy apple red. It's a thing of beauty, that's for sure. The Jaguar launched in 1962 as a top-of-the-line offering from Leo & co., boasting a sleek offset body, unique extra clear pickups, the quirky Offset Vibrato tailpiece and clever dual-circuit electronics. This one is wearing a coat of the classic candy apple red, which looks extra spicy on the matching headstock. The original white guard was switched for a pearl white one, which adds a bit of extra pizzazz to the mix. The neck has a nice subtle flame pattern in the maple, it catches the light beautifully. We've dialled the setup nicely and this is playing very smoothly: slim quick neck, perfect weight distribution, a bit of extra stability from the 11 gauge strings and Mustang-style bridge and a tidy low action. The tone is snappy, bright and fast, perfect for surf, grunge and punk stuff. These 90s era Fender Japan offset models were a lot easier to find a couple of years ago, so don't hesitate too long if you're all hot under the collar for this one.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples and scuffs on the end and bottom edge and some scuffs on the top edge, dimples on the back and some scuffs on the front near the end and a dimple near the string tree. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear and some dimples on  the back only. The back has scuffs around the neck plate, rub wear on the top horn, dimples and scuffs on the bottom horn and bottom corner, some dents, dimples and a minor chip in the elbow area and light scuffs in the middle of the body. The sides have minor dimples on the top horn, a couple of chips, dents and scuffs in the elbow area, three small chips near the rear strap pin, some scuffs, dents and a chip near the jack and some dimples on the bottom horn. The front has dimples on the top horn and near the tailpiece, scuffs and dents in the elbow area, a dent near the tone knob and near the strap pin on the back edge, and some normal play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 8/10, minor wear only
