Fender Japan Standard Strat, torino red, 1994. This has been dubbed 'the ketchup Strat' around here, owing to it's vibrant and unusual hue. It's certainly a good looker; the unusual torino red finish has yellowed nicely over the years and certainly pops beautifully against the cream guard. These have a couple of 'modern' tweaks on the classic 60s style Strat, most notably a satin finish neck with 9.5" radius board. The neck feels great: it's smooth and slick and loves a big bend. These Japan Standard models were made of poplar, which has a slightly airier and more open tone than basswood or alder; despite originally being a lower end option, it's sonically very pleasing. This is one of those guitars that's addictive and fun to play; it's easy to pull a tasty tone out of, and you're quickly jamming away and having a ball. Ketchup Strat for the win!

Cosmetic condition notes: There's some minor scuffs on the end of the headstock. Neck is pretty clean with just minor dimples. The back has a few 'buckle rash' marks: some minor dimples, checking lines, scuffs and light scratches around the place. The sides have a few marks: some scuffs and dimples on both horns, some dents and scuffs on the shoulder area and a few little chips and dents near the input jack. The front is fairly clean, just some minor scratches and simples behind the bridge, on the top horn, in the shoulder carve and near the jack, as well as some light play-wear. Overall: good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear; 7/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 10/46s.
