Fernandes JG75, transparent satin purple, made in Taiwan circa 1996. These JG series guitars are so cool: take the classic offset shape, add a modern super quick neck with a flatter radius and tall frets and a lightweight body and a nice simple electronic setup. This was the top model in it's day, so you get a couple of cool quirks: it's got a string-through-body hardtail bridge and a pair of active single coils, plus a deluxe lightweight ash body. All that adds up to a super thick, juicy Tele-ish type tone. Heaps of chime and twang, but with a fat, immediate bass and a healthy rock-and-roll moderately hot output. It's a really great sounding guitar, for sure. The neck is slim and super quick in the hands, so this feels like a total riff monster. The satin purple finish has a certain 90s charm; it looks 'almost black' until you get up close. If you're after a superbly made offset with mountains of tone without dropping crazy cash, surely this is your friend.
