Fresher FG301 SG style, made in Japan circa 1979, mocha brown. Fresher guitars were made by Chushin Gakki, the builders who later made Charvel and Jackson's MIJ models. There's not a whole lot of info around on the brand, but they're generally pretty well regarded. This one is their take on the classic SG, and it's a lot of fun. It's got a punchy, rounded tone that almost sounds more like single coils than humbuckers, with a nice bit of detail and dynamic response on offer. The neck is a bolt-on job and carved to a moderately beefy profile, so it's great for chunky rhythm playing. The brown finish is delightfully 70s, it's got a certain swampy steeze about it. Plus, the 'F' in the logo looks like the Fender motif, which is a laugh for a guitar in this genre. Makes your breath Fresher.
