Gibson LP Special, TV white, made in USA 2006. The LP Special debuted in the mid fifties as a trimmed down version of the Les Paul Standard, but with a few extra conveniences not found on the Junior model. You get a slab of mahogany with a flat top and a set mahogany neck, a pair of juicy P-90 single coil pickups and the ever-practical stoptail and tune-o-matic bridge combo. It's a whole lot of fun in the hands: pretty lightweight and very responsive, naturally resonant with a comfy slim sixties style neck profile. The super thin TV white nitro finish wears pretty quickly, so the high-contact areas of the guitar have plenty of rub wear to show and feel a bit slick and smooth to the touch. The tone on offer: heck yes, what a time. There's a decent dose of Les Paul beefiness, with plenty of low end heft and a smooth sustain, paired with a tangy brightness on the top end courtesy of the soapbar pickups. You can get Strat-like spanky attack or wild growly blues just by varying your attack and adjusting the controls, it's very enjoyable indeed. These don't come around all that often  and usually pop up in yellow or red, so the crisp white is s fun bonus. You won't be bored!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end and top edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, there's some dimples on the back as well as some significant rub wear but it feels good. The back has some rub wear including some balding along the top edge and belly carve as well as near the switch cavity, as well as some dimples around the elbow area and electronics cavity, plenty of minor marks but nothing drastic. The sides have some dimples and rub wear around the whole body and a dent near the jack. The front has some scuffs around the knobs and in the elbow area and play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear, there's no major buzz issues and they're fairly even, they don't need immediate attention, but there is the start of some pitting; 7/10 for fret life left. No headstock breaks. Setup with fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
