Gibson SG Junior, gloss ebony finish, made in USA 2011. This oozes equal parts sophistication and punk attitude, it's a black-tie-fist-fight in guitar form. The SG Junior is an understated and underrated 60s classic, and this is a great take on the form. The body is super light and very resonant, it's amazing to feel the notes coming to life to readily and also makes for a very friendly stage guitar. The neck is moderate; neither chunky nor slim, it feels 'right' for the guitar and is conducive to all sorts of aggressive rhythm playing. The tone is incredibly appealing; you get heaps of attack and bite, balanced with the warm woodiness and openness typical of the simple P90-into-mahogany setup... it's really a brilliant sounding guitar with a lot to offer. Certified cool guitar.

Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. There's a ding and a couple of light scratches on the back, as well as a dent and some scratches on the front above the strings and behind the bridge, plus a handful of dimples elsewhere. Overall: excellent condition (8.5/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have only a little wear, 8/10 for life left. Setup with fresh 11/48 strings. Not as neck-heavy as some SGs, it's fairly nicely balanced. Noo headstock breaks.
