(SOLD) Greco Spacey Sounds TE500 Thinline Tele Style Blonde 1978
Greco TE-500 Thinline T, 1978, blonde finish. If you're a fellow Japanese vintage guitar enthusiast, you've likely seen this model pop up occasionally, but they're just about all in the nice natural finish. This butterscotch blonde style finish is far less common, and oh boy... it looks absolutely majestic. The grain of the sen ash is on full glorious display, with tight lines running up and down the front and some much more complex figuring on the back. Paired with the yellowed pearl guard and the vintage maple board, this is really does look superb. The Maxon-made humbuckers are a treat: thick, juicy bass with an expressive, radiant midrange and a sparkly crisp top. The tone on tap really is exquisite. The slim neck has seen few hours of play; it's got that lovely played-in feel and is very forgiving and friendly in the hands. These don't come up in this sort of shape often, and in this finish, even less often, so if you're after a stupendously good vintage thinline for approximately a third the price of a late 70s Fender, here's your shot at glory.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has a couple of scuffs on the end and bottom edge. The neck is pretty clean, just some rub wear on the top side around the first couple of frets and a couple of minor dimples in the middle and on the bottom edge behind the third fret; it's very smooth in the hands. The back. The back has a small dent near the lower horn and some very light scratches around the edge. The sides are pretty clean, just some very light scuffs on the top and bottom horns. The front is in great shape, just a couple of tiny dimples on the shoulder, near the jack and knobs and just below the bridge as well as some very light play scratches on the guard and top horn. Overall: very good condition (8.5/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. The frets have as bit of normal wear but don't need immediate attention; 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 10/46s.
