Guyatone LG-50T, made in Japan 1967, white. This model was launched in 1965 in response to Japan's mad thirst for guitars in the style of Mosrite's The Ventures' signature model guitars. It was one of the first models out of Japan in this style, and they made quite an impact both locally in Japan and abroad. This model popped up in some famous hands, including both Jeff Beck and Hank Marvin. It's got a super sturdy and reasonably slim neck; it's held up brilliantly over the decades and is still nice and straight today. The big gold foil single coils are a delight: thick, full, rich and sparkly with a great spanky attack and presence. The quality and depth of tone is really quite alarming; this really is a great sounding guitar,. The faded white finish and vintage tort guard look awesome; it's surely a stylish machine. Quirky, fun, very vintage and full of charm.

Model: Guyatone LG-50T

Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. There's some marks on the end and around the edges of the headstock. Neck is pretty clean with jut a few minor nicks. The back has a couple of little chips, some buckle rash scratches and some checking lines. The front has a few chips around the edges, they're widespread but very minor, as well as plenty of play scratches and some checking lines. The finish has 'mottled' all over, so it's uneven in colour and looking very vintage. Overall: good condition (7/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight (no issues there!), action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. Note that the pickup switches are a little temperamental, but working without major drama. Frets have some minor wear, plenty of height in them; 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s.
