Hagstrom F300 Black 2006
Hagstrom F300, black, made in China 2006. Hagstrom stuff was super cool in the 50s and 60s, and the reboot-era stuff has also long been very nicely done. The F300 model is long discontinued nowadays, but it's a pretty cool recipe. The body mixes elements from an SG and a Strat, paired with a bolt-on neck with the classic Swede-style headstock. The tone matches the look: Strat-ish, but more assertive. It's bright and punchy, with heaps of attack, stable tuning and a tight, fast low end. It feels great in the hands too, super sturdy and reliable and surprisingly comfy for a pointy thing. Yet more proof that the Swedish are smarter than the rest of us.
