(SOLD) Hagstrom Fantomen Black 2018
Hagstrom Fantomen, black, made in China 2018, blacker than the blackest black. This oddball is a signature model for Swedish drama-rock/black-metal band Ghost. They've won a Grammy, but the member list is still anonymous... bunch of weirdos, but they do it well. It's a vaguely Firebird-ish shape, but a little more wonky and thicker. It's a well balanced and comfy thing in the hands, with a sensible moderate neck shape that's notably thicker than any other Hag we've had through the shop before. The sound is thick and gooey, with a hefty low end and full midrange, not dissimilar from an LP Custom. There's a lot to enjoy here, it's a very well executed instrument.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock and neck are pretty clean, no major marks. The back has some minor dimples near the neck joint, bottom horn, elbow area and near the jack. The sides have a couple of minor dimples on both horns and the elbow area, plus a few scuffs around the jack area. The front has a few dimples near the knobs and along the back edge, plus a few scuffs around the bridge and some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, intonation is good, action is low, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. The frets have very little wear, 9/10. Setup with fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
