K.Yairi RSL-701 parlour, made in Japan 1999, sunburst finish. We love Yairi stuff around here, they do such outstanding work. Kazuo Yairi began making guitars under his own name in 1965, with a strong commitment to traditional craftsmanship and true hand-building  techniques. They're still a small team today, producing incredible instruments in Gifu, near Nagoya, and they still store, air-dry and mill all their own tonewoods on site. This little charmer dates to 1999, and is a parlour similar in dimensions to a Gibson LG. The round shoulders and classic spruce and mahogany combo lend this a dry, warm voice, with amazing clarity through the mids and highs and a percussive, musical low end. The neck is slim and comfy and the body is very light, so this is a perfect fingerstyle plucker or couch strummer; it's very easy to play. The little details like white button tuners, mini-dot inlays and the red tort guard make the sunburst finish pop perfectly, it's cute as a button. K.yeah!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor scuffs all over and some dimples on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples, scuffs and rub wear on the back only. The back has dimples on the top shoulder, back edge and bottom edge and some scuffs in the elbow area and middle of the body. The sides have minor dimples around the whole body and some scuffs on the bottom bout. The front has a chip in the finish on the treble side of the sound hole, dimples along the back edge and elbow area and some play wear on the guard and shoulders.
Overall: very good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Setup with 12/54 strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
