Marshall JTM30 2x10" 30w Tube Combo 1996
Marshall JTM30, 2x10" combo guitar amp made in England in 1996. These were made between 1995 and 1997 with this example sitting right in the middle of that production period. They came equipped with 2 Russian Sovtek 5881 power tubes which are happily present and functioning, and 3 ECC83 preamp tubes, which have been switched out for 3 12AX7s. This is a relatively light 2x10" vintage combo under 20kg with plenty of SPL to drown your drummer. There's a channel switch for the single input to change in-and-out of an overdrive channel that offers extra gain. You get creamy leads and crunchy rhythm tones with plenty of bite as expected with Marshall tube amps. The Eminence speakers offer more power in the low-mids making the amp sound larger than a 2x10. Overall, a great vintage tube amp with plenty of punch for the price. Fun!
