Matsikas 3M NT Bouzouki Natural 2014
Matsikas 3M NT Bouzouki, natural gloss, made in Greece 2014. The Bouzouki is probably the most recognisable folk instrument out of Greece: eight strings, doubled like a mandolin but tuned like the top of a guitar, long scale neck with a bowl back body. This one came home from a trip to Greece a few years back, and it's in great order. Matsakis have been making bouzouki's for many decades now, and while they're not the faniciest examples around, they do very decent work. The tone is bright and chiming, with a warbling gooey modrange that fills things out nicely. πολύ ευχάριστο
