Our thoughts: This is a cheap little snare that punches above its weight. It's 7.5mm 6 ply poplar shell is constructed using Pearl's SST process. Overtones are manageable and it cuts through just fine. No issues with tuning and the snare wires and throw are fully operational. The bearing edges are standard 45s and thus it has a load of attack as you would expect in a modern snare sound.

This particular drum has been refinished in a natural stain, which is probably an upgrade over the original wrap, only the badge is no longer around. It's wearing a batter-side clear Ambassador on the snare side which, unfortunately, sounds really bad. It just needs a new snare side head and you'll be away. The batter head has plenty of life and the wires to the best of our knowledge will be perfectly functional once an appropriate snare side head is installed.
