(SOLD) Peavey EVH Wolfgang Special Electric Blue 1999
Peavey EVH Wolfgang Special, refinished to blue, made in USA 1999. Eddie Van Halen has got to be one of the most influential guitarists ever, in both playing style and in terms of equipment and tone. Eddie was working with Musicman before switching to Peavey to create his own line of guitars, so this shares a few elements with guitars like the Axis. The solid basswood body is a classic EVH-favourite; combined with a pair of signature high-output humbuckers, you get a smooth, liquid tone that's perfect for big lead lines. The neck is slim and nicely balanced against the body; the guitar feels compact and supremely easy to move around on. The original finish was purple, it's been very tidily re-sprayed in an eye-catching bright Subaru blue; it's certainly got a late 90s appeal to it. This is a cool little piece of Van Halen history, and a sweet guitar to shred til your fingers catch fire.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. The body has a few very minor scratches and dings, nothing that's obvious to the eye from a foot away. THe refinish job is exceptional; you'd assume the finish was from the factory if you weren't told otherwise. The neck, being an oil finish, has some natural discolouration, but it's in good shape. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, intonation is good, action is very low. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear only, . Setup with fresh 10/46s and ready to roll!
