Rickenbacker 620 Fireglo 2005
Ric 620, made in USA 2005, Fireglo finish. Check out the majesty radiating off this one! The Ric 620 is a bucket-list guitar for me; they ooze cool. Tone-wise, you get a typical short/med scale thump and punch, but with a certain hi-fi snap and definition and a super warm midrange and a ready-for-takeoff hotness from the pickups... bliss. This will happily cover aggressive punk and grunge parts or jangly chiming cleans, it's got a lot going for it. The typical Ric D shape neck is easy to enjoy: a bit of meat in the back, but still on the slim side; it just works. The classic Fireglo finish has a lot of depth and life to it; against the aged cream binding and streaky rosewood board, it pops beautifully and is sure to shine on stage. Basically: it totally slaps and looks a million bucks.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some scuffs on the end and around the edges. Neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has widespread dimples, light scuffs and surface scratches; no major marks though. The sides have minor scuffs around the whole body and a little rub wear near the rear strap pin, no major marks. The front is pretty tidy, just some dimples on the top horn and elbow area and some light play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, intonation is good, action is low, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear, they're fairly even with no major buzz issues and not in need of immediate attention, 7/10 for fret life left. Setup with fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
