Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus 2x12" Guitar Combo Amp 1985
Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus, made in Japan 1985. If you're after a big, fat clean sound, it's hard to go past an original Jazz Chorus. This is the bigboii model, with 2x12" speakers and a full 120w of headroom and gusto. The cleans are wonderful: expansive, thick, dynamically responsive with outstanding chime and clarity up top. The distortion is surprisingly good too, smooth and growly; nothing like a tube amp, but cool in it's own way. The real money shot here is the stereo chorus: my oh my, what a time to be alive. It's lush and swirling and vibrant; it's perfect. What a classic.
