Sterling by Music Man Sterling, natural satin, made in Indonesia 2023. Music Man's most iconic bass is the Stingray: they're great, but they're heavy, and the sound can be pretty aggressive. This little cutie is a Sterling, named after Mr Sterling Ball, head of Ernie Ball Co, and it's a trimmed down take on the classic. The body is a little smaller, the neck is a little slimmer, and it weighs in at 3.5kg... that would be light for a Strat, let alone a bass. It plays very nicely: the super slick satin neck is straight and stable, and the lightweight body resonates with gusto. The passive electronics are simple: no battery to worry about, and you get a fat, round, growly tone with plenty of midrange kick. This one presents as very close to showroom shape, so you can save yourself a few avocados if you were eyeing off a new one. Juicy.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has no major marks. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear and a couple of small dimples on the back only. The back has a dimple near the neck plate and a small scratch near the electronics cavity. The sides have no major marks. The front has minor play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 9/10, minor wear only
