Tokai Love Rock LS132BB Black 2019
Tokai Premium Series Love Rock LS132BB, black, made in Japan 2019. It's hard to go past a black LP Standard style for a slick look, and og boy: this is sliiick. Tokai have been making G-style models to an incredible standard since the 1970s, and to this day, they offer some of the most consistently brilliant offerings in the genre available anywhere. This one feels very sturdy: it's a fairly fat U shaped neck paired with and African mahogany body, with super sturdy hardware and excellent wood and finish work. It holds tune convincingly and is very responsive in the hands, with plenty of unplugged volume. The pickups are made by UK hand winders Monty's, and they're awesome too. Fat and creamy down low, with a piquant and pleasing treble adding zest and definition to every note and chord. This is awesome, someone is going to have a very good time with it indeed.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and top edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has scuffs on the top horn and bottom edge as well as some dimples along the back edge and elbow area. The sides have surface scratches near the jack. The front has dimples around the switch, scuffs around the tailpiece and elbow area and play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 9/10, minor wear only
