(SOLD) Used Greco LP EG-700 Honeyburst 1978
Greco EG-700 from 1978, honeyburst finish. This is a proper lawsuit-era LP, with all the quality and mojo to match. The neck and fretwork is exceptional, it feels so reassuring and precisely made in the hands; it's a pleasure to play. The PAF-copy pickups are rich, full and bright, they're a nice moderate output that really lets the tone breathe. The 700 series LPs weren't chambered like the lower models, you're getting the more 'vintage correct' fatness from a whole lot of high grade vintage mahogany. This has a few scars as you'd expect, but the top especially has aged to perfection and really looks amazing. The grain on the plain maple top is on full display, and it's really something to behold. This is a top-class LP that will easily compete with anything $4k+ will buy in the new market. Come see what all the fuss was about.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's some proper (possibly deliberate?) wear near the neck joint, check the pics. The back has a bunch of buckle-rash scratches, nothing deep or nasty. There's some chips near the rear strap pin. The top is pretty clean, just the occasional dimple here and there. Model sticker on the headstock was applied crooked. Overall: very good condition.
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some wear, but there's heaps of life left, 8/10. Stomping LP with heaps of mojo!
