Yamaha ERG121 in black, Pacifica family, made in Indonesia 1991. This is a handy beginner guitar. Yamaha's famously consistent manufacturing is on show; it's nicely put together despite being a more basic model. This fits happily into the 'superstrat' genre: two humbuckers, slim neck with fairly flat board, tremolo system etc. The neck is very comfortbale and quick, and the tone is perfectly decent. You won't walk out of a store with the new equivalent of this for less than $350, so this is a really nice little bargain.

Model: Yamaha ERG121
Made: Indonesia, best guess 1991 (serial 10222006)
Finish: black gloss
Body: agathis (mahogany family)
Neck: maple, bolt on, sonokeling fingerboard
Mods: 5-way switch replaced
Case: none
Neck and bridge pickup: factory fitted, 2 x HBs and 1 single

Cosmetic condition notes: Moderate finish wear. The most unusual thing is on the 2nd and 4th fret, there were some slots cut into the board, presumably some kind of scale-learning exercise. They've since been filled and sanded to flat, so they're not really noticeable under the fingers. Aside from that, there's a bunch of minor dings around the body and plenty of play-wear scratches, but nothing too major. Overall: good condition (6.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Freshly set up and wearing fresh 10-46 strings, ready to go!
