Yamaha SR-500 Super Roller Strat Copy. The natural finish really shows the amazing grain of the Japanese sen ash! These models were only made for a few years and are basically a copy of Fender's 1957 Stratocasters, but with the big CBS-style headstock. It's got a nice round neck profile and the back of the neck has been worn-in nicely; it feels great. Being nearly forty years old, its got some normal wear, but the condition is pretty good overall. It's light and responsive, and the single coils have got that traditional spank; perfect for blues licks! It's definitely got that vintage-strat mojo.

Cosmetic condition notes: A few dings and scratches, nothing too outrageous. The lacquer has aged beautifully, the grain really shows through. The neck lacquer is worn down. The pickups, guard and knobs have yellowed. The guard has some pretty noticeable rash near the pickup selector. There's a crack in the finish (not the wood) on the neck joint. Overall condition: fair to good.
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets are quite low but fairly even; plenty of life left in them. Recently been through a Topshelf setup with John Pearse 10/46 pure nickel strings, which are magic. Basically plays itself and sounds awesome.
