Yamaha SR-400 Super Roller Strat Copy. Check out the grain on that sen ash! These models are basically a copy of Fender's 1970s era Stratocasters. The neck is amazing; it's been well 'played in' so the finish has worn to be silky smooth to touch. This one packs some serious warmth and body to the tone! Best estimate on the year is 1978, Yamaha's serial number system is a bit mysterious on these models. It also features slightly different electronics to a regular Strat: a 3-way switch, and bridge pickup bypasses the tone knobs. A great addition if you're a fan of Strats, vintage Japanese guitars, natural relic looks, modding guitars or all of the above.

Manufacturer: Yamaha
Model: SR-400 Super Roller
Year: 1978 (best estimate)
Made in: Japan
Finish: natural, gloss lacquer
Body: sen ash
Neck: maple with maple board, dot inlays
Mods: none
Neck pickup: original, 5.76k ohms
Middle pickup: original, 6k ohms
Bridge pickup: original, 5.9k ohms

Cosmetic condition notes: Some significant dings and scratches, mostly on the back of the body. The lacquer has aged beautifully, the grain really shows through. The neck lacquer is worn down, the pickups and knobs have yellowed, the chrome has has aged... you can't fake this stuff and look this good! No case. Overall condition: fair to good.

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets are quite low, but fairly even, suggesting a recent fret-job; plenty of life left in them. Recently been through a Topshelf setup with John Pearse 10/46 pure nickel strings, which are magic. Basically plays itself and sounds awesome.
