Yamaha PB400R Precision-style bass, sunburst, made in Japan 1984. The PB series succeeded the excellently titled 'Pulser Bass' models from the late 70s. It's got some pretty classic features that hark back to the 1962 Fender P, like the rosewood board with 7.25" radius, the tort guard and classic three tone burst finish, reverse tuners and a tasty split single coil. It's also got some classic MIJ touches, like a lightweight sen ash body and the bold headstock decals. In the hands, it's a delight. There's a whole stack of natural unplugged volume and a very friendly neck, which translates to an ease of play that'll see you having too much fun to put it down. These vintage Japanese Yamaha instruments are still pretty underrated (somehow!); they surely deserve to be treasured for their many virtues.

Neck is pretty clean, just some very minor scuffs from play; feels smooth in the hands. The back has no major marks, just some minor scuffs on the horns and around the outside edge. The sides have no major marks, just some very light scuffs near the knobs and shoulder area. The front is also pretty clean, just some miniature dimples on the top horn, up from the pickup, down and behind the pickup and up from the bridge in the shoulder area. Overall: very good condition (8.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some minor wear but look great, 8/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 45/105s.
