(ARCHIVE) Boss CS-1 Compression/Sustainer Pedal Japan 1980
- Description
- Guitarchives
The first ever compressor Boss made in a compact box... wild times. These CS-1 models run on a pair of photo couplers instead of a VCA like the later CS-2 and 3 models, so it's a pretty different sound. The switchable 'treble' mode allows for some bright, sparkly squished up sounds that are great for clean country picking or lead lines, it's got a really definite tone. Needless to say, being a black label, silver screw example, this is a pretty safe investment.
