Cole Clark Fat Lady FL1EC-BB Natural 2015
Cole Clark Fat Lady One, made in Melbourne 2015, natural satin. The Fat Lady series is a mainstay of the Australian guitar universe: go to any pub in the country on a Friday evening and you've got a very good chance of seeing one in action. This one dates to 2015, so you get the classic understated aesthetics, dual-sensor pickup and the matching case. The timber combo is classic Cole Clark: the subtle streaky bunya top adds warmth and depth, while the Tasmanian blackwood back and sides add midrange punch, quick attack and a dry clarity. The pickup really is very good too, it's one of the most accurate and natural system out there. All in all: a very practical bit of Australiana.
