(ARCHIVE) Used Fender Jazz Bass 62 Reissue Walnut Gold Hardware
- Description
- Guitarchives
Fender Jazz Bass, '62 reissue, made in Japan (1993) in walnut stain with classy gold hardware. Gosh, this one is a rare bird and a real babe! The walnut stain, which covers the neck and headstock along with gold hardware is a non-catalogue combo, someone with great taste ordered this specially. It's got that classic growly warm Jazz Bass tone and is light and responsive to the touch. The neck is thin and fast, the action is low. The Badass-II bridge improves the sustain, tuning stability and tone; it's a great mod. The body has a couple of extra holes from a previous bridge and a few dings, but the condition is pretty good overall. If you like it, don't wait, you're unlikely to chance across another one! This is one seriously foxy J-bass.

Frets have some mild wear but have plenty of life. There's a couple of extra screw holes near the bridge from a previous after-market bridge, as well as a screw hole from a removed strap pin. A few minor dings on the back and headstock. All in all, pretty good condition. No case.
