Cort A4, natural gloss, made in Korea 2001. Heck, that's quite a piece of flame maple. Cort were the biggest producer of instruments in the world for a while there, not just for their own brand but for other bigboiis like Ibanez, Fender etc. When they turn their attention to making something pretty, they dial it in pretty hard: this is nicely made. The neck-through construction makes for plenty of natural sustain and resonance as well as easy movement up the neck. The Bartolini electronics deliver a precise, modern sound with articulation and adjustability aplenty. The aesthetics won't tickle everyone, but for the woodmongering bassists among us, it's hard to argue that this has plenty of class.
