Crafter WF-Rose Plus 38th Anniversary Model Natural 2013
Crafter WF-Rose Plus, made in Korea 2013, natural gloss. Crafter have been making guitars out of Korea for a while now, and the world has long been very decent. This model was made for their 38th Anniversary (because... reasons) and features some extra snazzy tonewoods and a very pretty flower inlay on the board. The top is Englemann Spruce, the classsy German stuff, which commands a bit of a price premium compared to the more common Sitka, and sounds a little warmer and more balanced. The back and sides are Bubinga, and African Rosewood variant, which looks beautiful and delivers a strong, fast bass response. The pickup works nicely and the neck is an agreeable rounded shape. Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has scuffs and dimples on the end. One tuner is missing the gear cover. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, just some scratches on the neck heel and some scuffs and rub wear on the back only. The back has dimples on the shoulders and some scuffs along the back edge and elbow area. The sides have minor dimples on the top shoulder, elbow area and bottom bout. The plastic surround for the preamp is broken, but it all works fine and is still firmly attached. The front has dimples behind the bridge and on the bottom shoulder, as well as some play wear around the sound hole.
Overall: very good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Setup with 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
