- Guitarchives
Eastman E10P parlour, sunburst, made in Beijing 2021. Eastman operate a fairly small, specialised workshop in Beijing. They initially specialised in violins, violas and cellos, but they've been making beautiful , high end guitars by hand for a number of years now. This one has some proper specs: all solid timbers, dovetail join, full gloss nitro finish... tasty stuff. It's got a wide nut and a 12th fret join, so it's a similar build to vintage Martin 0-18. The sound on tap is inspiring: it's loud and bold, with a snappy attack and a warm, deep midrange. It's remarkably loud with amazing bass for a small body, but it's the clarity that really makes it remarkable. The little details like the ebony bridge and slotted headstock tie the look together perfectly, it's a classy thing. Delightful.
