Edwards E-LP-92CD, black, made in Japan 2007. Edwards is the vintage style brand under the ESP Guitars umbrella, so they mostly trade in Fender and Gibson inspired offerings and are sold mostly to the domestic Japan market. This spicy piece is a take on the classic late sixties Les Paul Custom. It's got some tasty specs: gold hardware, ebony board, block inlays, seven-ply binding, Duncan pickups, Gotoh hardware... it's a classy item. The neck is slightly on the slim side without being super skinny, it's slick and quick and the ebony feels luxurious under the fingers. The pickups are awesome: the '59 in the neck has that sunny brightness to it to balance out the warm and thick low end, it's an eloquent and expressive tone. The JB in the bridge is a growly, snappy, creamy tone with heaps of nuance and breath in the midrange. This punches extremely hard, it's a really convincing player that'll have you grinning wide in no time.
