Edwards E-LP-98LTC, black, made in Japan 2009. Edwards is the vintage style brand under the ESP Guitars umbrella, so they mostly trade in Fender and Gibson inspired offerings and are sold mostly to the domestic Japan market. This one is a take on the classic 'Black Beauty' Les Paul Custom, so it's got all the bling: gold hardware, ebony board, block inlays, seven ply binding... you know what? It's okay with me. The neck is a moderate '60 style shape, not too thick or thin, easy to move around on and arrow-straight and stable. The stock Duncan humbuckers deliver the goods: the neck is gooey and warm with enough definition and clarity to cut through, while the bridge is creamy and rich with enough low end to carry plenty of heft. There's a lot to love here, plus... it's gonna look great on your wall, right?

The neck has some rub wear and dimples on the back but  it's clean and smooth in the hands with no major marks. The back has widespread light scuffs but no major marks. The sides have some minor scuffs on the elbow area, some dimples on the binding near the rear strap pin and near the jack. The front has a few light scuffs near the knobs and in the elbow area as well as some standard play wear on the guard and horns. Three of the knobs are missing their caps. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets have minor wear only, 9/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
