Edwards E-SA-125LTS semi-hollow, made in Japan 2014, cherry red. This is a superbly classy guitar, it's so luxurious. Edwards is the vintage style division of ESP, so they're made in Japan to an exceptional standard and largely sold to the domestic Japan market. This model is a take on a sixties style Gibson ES-335, but in a very fun limited edition twist, it's built with a solid carved maple top and back... yes, yes yes. The solid maple lends this added attack and focus through the midrange, so this has a very strong and immediate tone. There's an eloquent, clear treble, paired with a midrange that purrs richly with a soft touch or barks assertively under heavier playing rounded out by a satisfying, wide bass response. It'll happily cover jazz and blues stuff, or on the bridge pickup into a cranked amp, this absolutely nails a massive rock rhythm tone. The stock Duncan pickups really deliver the goods. The neck is moderately slim and super comfy in the hands and the body feels very lively against your chest. The small block inlays and yellowed binding really make the semi-gloss nitro cherry finish pop hard... it looks like a million bucks. These very seldom pop up in this hemisphere, so if you're after a superbly built 335 to spend your next few decades with, this one is a splendid candidate.
