Epiphone Emily Wolfe Sheraton Stealth Aged Black Gloss 2022
Epiphone Emily Wolfe Sheraton, black, made in China 2022. Emily Wolfe is a Texas based rock songwriter and 'self-proclaimed gear head', lighting up stages and gaining substantial critical acclaim since her debut record dropped in 2012. You can find her 'White Wolfe' signature model pretty easily in shops around the country, but this black version, the Sheraton Stealth is not locally available. You get the standard Sheraton good stuff: semi-hollow laminate maple body, slim fast neck with the seven ply fretboard binding, tree of life headstock inlay and gold hardware; all very snazzy. You also get some special touches: diamond F-holes, lightning bolt inlays, trimmed down electronics with a switch, two volumes and a tone and a slick satin black finish. It feels good in the hands: the neck is pretty slim and agreeable without being tiny, the finish has a certain tactile appeal and the big body resonates nicely. The pickups are voiced more towards the rock end of the spectrum, with plenty of bite and snap and a wide, snarly midrange. You can get some nice cleans out of the neck pickup too, it's thick and glassy. All in all, this is a very enjoyable guitar that cements the notion that girls have better taste and are cooler guitar players than boys.
