(SOLD) Epiphone Emperor Swingster Hollow Body Wine Red 2010
Epiphone Emperor Swingser, made in Indonesia 2010, wine red. This one is fun. It's got it's foot in a few camps: part jazzbox, part rockabilly, part blues machine. It feels tight and tidy in the hands, with clean fret and finish work and some nice details in the binding and inlays. The legit Bigsby with the cool 50s style arm is great too; a nice touch. The sound on offer is woody and wide, with a piquant attack and an understated fullness. It's a nice guitar for balladeer work, you can pull a lot of dynamics out of it with a nuanced touch. The wine red is dark and rich too, it's a classy look. It comes with the case which would cost you a fair bit extra new. Tidy!
