(SOLD) Epiphone Prophecy Futura EX Black Cherry 2007
Epiphone Prophecy Futura EX, black cherry finish, made in China 2007. Do you ever see a guitar and say to yourself 'that's nice, but it'd be better if it was pointier, had a gnarly blood-red finish, blade inlays and a pair of screaming EMG pickups'... well, have we got a guitar for you! This guy is a Prophecy Futura EX, basically a hot-rodded highly shreddable take on the classic Explorer shape. It's got a really quick slim neck with a luxurious ebony board with 24 jumbo frets, perfect for lightning-quick antics. The Explorer shape is really nicely balanced, so it's superbly comfortable with a strap and really feels at home in stage. The finish is deep and intriguing, plus the little details like the blade inlays and red-pearl knob tips really add a sense of class. The EMG pickups do exactly what you expect: push out the thick, smooth, aggressive tones that'll drive your amp super hard; perfect for getting those heads banging. One super handy inclusion on this is the comically-large Epiphone case; it's very sturdy and has some sweet plush lining; they cost a small fortune new, so it's a huge bonus. If you're after a metal-machine with a bit more personality than the stock-standard super-Strat, this could be your new partnerin crime.
