Epiphone Les Paul Ultra Faded Cherry Sunburst 2007
Epiphone Les Paul Ultra, faded cherry, made in Korea 2007. That's a nice quilt top, very yummy. The Ultra model was originally a bit of a combo job: vintage style LP stuff, plus a piezo with an active preamp to get some jazz or acoustic style tones. This example has had the fancy active stuff taken out, as it was misbehaving: our tech made it a super nice passive LP. It's got deluxe CTS pots, orange drop caps, a new jack and braided wire etc; it's a classy job. The tone is very enjoyable: fat and warm, pleasing sweetness on the top, complex mids. The belly carve and extra chambering mean it's pretty light for an LP, which paired with the slim neck makes this a very agreeable player. The fiery hues of the burst look great with the unusual gold hardware too, it's very slick. Heaps of LP for your bucks; these older Korean Epiphone examples are awesome value. Ultra as heck.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor scuffs on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear on the back only. The back has scuffs along the belly carve, near the neck join and along the back edge. The sides have scuffs on the top horn and near the jack. The front has dimples near the tailpiece and elbow area and some play wear on the horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
