Epiphone SG G-400 Pro, cherry, made in China 2009. These are the high end SG model from Epiphone, so you get a proper mahogany body and neck, sturdy hardware and a tasty set of alnico humbuckers. All that adds up nicely in the hands; this has a lot of go. The neck is a classic '61 style mildly chunky D type profile, which works nicely for this shape and feels natural in the hands. The tone is classic SG: heaps of attack and bite, a snappy treble and a barking low end. These sell new for a nudge over $1000AUD these days, so nabbing one in great shape like this for a lot less makes a lot of sense. Angus called, he said you should buy it.
