Epiphone SG G-400 Pro, black, made in China 2008. This was the top end of Epiphone's SG line in it's day, so it's put together pretty nicely. It's got some trademark SG features: lightweight comfy body, thick neck with a generous taper and the classic two dark dirty humbuckers. The tone on offer is thick and swampy, with plenty of low end punch and a gristly midrange. The upgraded bridge pickup, bridge and tailpiece go a long way in the feel and tone departments too; isn't it just nice when the previous owner does you a favour? I personally feel the black to be cooler than the more iconic cherry red, but hey, send me a strongly worded email if you disagree. SG = simply glorious.
